Be careful not to confuse her with Nancy Ellen Conley who married John M. Ison.

I mainly have this family in my database because my first cousin three times removed, Lou Ginter, married a John Ison as her second husband, but I don’t know which one. So I’m entering all the John Isons in the Morgan/Rowan/Elliott county area of that generation.

Phebe was listed as age 7 in the 1850 census, and her parents were married in Oct of 1838, and she was their second child, so it is unlikely that she was born in 1837. Levinna and Susanna are daughters of the widowed Doctor Ison.
