Notes for Henry W. & Amanda J. (Family)
Rowan Co., Kentucky marriage bond book 1, b. 94, records a license issued on 11 Oct 1886 for the marriage of Henry W. Boorman, age 23, born in “Londan, Indgland”, to Amanda J. Click, age 18, bond surety by James A. Click. The return in marriage register A, p. 5, records that the marriage was performed by Johnson Office at his home in Carter Co., witnesses John Cline and Isaac Pelfrey.
Census
I cannot find George and the older children in 1900.

Amanda may be the following:

1900 census of Montgomery Co., Ky, Mount Sterling ward 3, enumerated 11 June, lists on p. 8A as family #136/171, at 40 S. Queen St:
Simpson, Sarah, 57, b. May 1843, Tenn Tenn Tenn, widowed; Matt, son, 23, b. Apr 1877, Ky Ky Tenn, house painter; Hoicben (sp?), Littie, dau, 27, b. Feb 1873, Ky Ky Tenn; Ora, son-in-law, 25, b. May 1875, Ky Ky Ky, day laborer; Boorman, Amanda, 29, b. April 1871, Ky Ky Ky, divorced, mother of 1 child, 1 living, servant; Hattie, dau, 4, b. Sep 1895, b. Ky Ky Ky.

The birthdate fits for Hattie, approximately fits for Amanda, and Amanda Boorman is not a common name. But the father’s birthplace should be England for Hattie, and Amanda and Henry had at least four children. Since I have not found Henry, Alice, Albert or Lena in the 1900 census either, it is quite possible that they were all together somewhen else, or that they were all entirely missed. (This happens fairly often when a family moves during the census visitation period.)
