Calah and Mahalah Wells were red-haired twin sisters who married twin brothers John T. and Robert E. Caudill in a double ceremony.

Although Calah remarried to James Jackson in 1935, there is a double stone in Morehead for J. T. and Calah Wells Caudill, with her dates given as 1866-1943.

Her death certificate records Calah Wells Caudill Jackson, age 76 years 1 month 22 days, born 13 Dec 1866 in Morgan Co., Ky, died 5 Feb 1943 in Simpsonville, Shelby Co., Ky, widow of J. Y. Jackson, father William Wells, mother’s maiden name Calah Davis, both born in Morgan Co., Ky, cause of death hypostasis of chest, cardio renal complex, informant W. A. Caudill, Harrodsburg, Ky, burial in Morehead, Ky.
