His gravestone and the obituary of his wife both spell his name as Audry, so that is what I am using.

Her obituary in the Morehead News reported:

“Christell Wallace Black, age 90, of Bluebank Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2010, at the residence of her daughter, K. Sue Black.
    Mrs. Black was born February 14, 1920, in Blue Diamond, Kentucky, daughter of the late George Washington Wallace, who passed away September 28, 1933, and Ellen Lustra Brown Wallace, who passed away June 3, 1971. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers, James Porter, Calvin Morris, Freddie, Elam, Ernest Clarence, and Curtice Wallace and a baby boy, and two sisters, Maudie Irene Wallace Wright and Mattie Lou Wallace Raines Emory.
    Her husband, Audry (A. C.) Black, passed away July 1, 1996.
    Mrs. Black is survived by two sons: Ronald Gene (Phyllis) Black and Glennis Ray (Tina) Black of Morehead, Kentucky; two daughters: Wanda Louise Black (Randall) Catron of Clayton, Georgia, and K. Sue Black, of Morehead, Kentucky; six grandchildren: Lisa Mischelle Black, Clayton Ray Black, Colton M. Black, Brenda Lee Black (William) Woodruff, Angela Carole Black, and Andrea Gene Black; seven great grandchildren: Kaden Clark Hoover, William Glen Woodruff, Jr., Natasha Marie Woodruff, Alyssia Lynea Woodruff, Ashley Marie Roon, Lyndzy Ann Roon, and Symantha Barrera; and several nieces and nephews.
    Mrs. Black retired from Cowden Manufacturing Company in 1982. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved to sew, make quilts, hand quilt, and can fresh garden vegetables. She was well known for her excellent cream pies, especially butterscotch, lemon, and coconut. She enjoyed taking walks with friends and neighbors, working in her puzzle books, and keeping up with her friends on the phone. She was a member of Salt Lick Freewill Baptist Church.
    Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mark Caldwell and Rev. Andy Lands officiating. Burial will follow in the Caudill Cemetery on Sharkey Road.
    Pallbearers will be Ricky Lewis, Mark Lewis, Fred Caudill, Timmy McKinney, Dallas McKinney, and T. J. McKinney.”
