“Ruth "Beloved" Fultz Schmidt (nee Stamper), of Auburndale, FL formerly of Crown Point, IN, passed away December 23, 2007.
Born April 12, 1916 in Haldeman, KY to Mose and Sarah Stamper, Mrs. Schmidt moved to Crown Point in 1955 and was retired from Luke's Market Basket. In 1999 she relocated permanently to Auburndale, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Fultz; her parents; her daughter Phyllis Cadle; grandchildren: Stacey Andersen and Randy Cadle. She was also preceded in death by five brothers: Willie Stamper, Oather Stamper, Van Stamper and Reuben Stamper as well as three sisters Velva Harris, Dixie Barker and Betty Jordan.
She is survived by husband Raymond Schmidt of Auburndale, FL whom she married December 29, 1979. She also leaves her six daughters: Darlene (Ed) Andersen of Crown Point, Bobbi (Jim) Rust of Auburndale, FL, Joan Fultz of Beaverville, IL, Diane Schach of Crown Point, Pam (Stan) Morton of Arvada, CO and Michelle (Andre) Ciucki of Munster; son-in-law George Cadle of Crown Point, IN and her sister Gladys Brown of Morehead, KY.
Also surviving are 22 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; three step-children: Barbara (Tony) Spotora of Oldsmar, FL, Troy Schmidt of Georgia, Penny Golden of Hebron, IN; five step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews too numerous to count.
Mrs. Schmidt was an avid gardener, shopper and homemaker who loved to play cards and board games with her large and loving family and circle of friends. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2007 at the White Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 921 W. 45th Ave., Griffith, IN. Friends may meet with the family on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Shawn Cornett of Griffith, IN. She will be buried at Calumet Park Cemetery, there will be no graveside service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL 33823”
