Her obituary in the Morehead News reported:

“MOREHEAD – Elsie Conn Moore, age 87, of Oak Grove Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2010, at the Life Care Center of Morehead.

Born January 12, 1923, in Elliott County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Omie Binion Conn.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Mabry and Opal Darda, and two brothers, Jesse Conn and Riley Conn.

Her husband of 65 years, Charles Clella Moore, whom she wed October 11, 1940, passed away March 27, 2006, and a son, Wilburn R. Moore, on July 29, 2007.

Mrs. Moore is survived by three sons, Jesse Moore, Charles Moore and Sidney Moore, all of Morehead, Kentucky; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

In addition to being a homemaker, Elsie was a former employee of Cowden Manufacturing Company and the Big Store 5 & 10.  She was a member of the Slab Camp Christian Church.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Carlos Bowman, Rev. Herbert Lewis, and Rev. Larry Hamm officiating.  Burial will be in Crix Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be Herman Mabry, Todd Moore, Jeff Moore, Jack Catron, Andy Marcouiller, and Clayton Lewis.”
