I cannot find a record of this marriage in either Morgan or Rowan counties, unless it is the marriage of John Brown and Mellison Burcham on 13 June 1899 in Morgan Co, at James Dyer’s, witnesses Henry Perry and Gid Adkins. I cannot find any other recently married John Brown in the 1900 census of Morgan Co., nor any Brown with a wife whose name begins with Mel or Mil. So perhaps her name was Rebecca Millicent or vice versa.

1900 census of Morgan Co., Ky, district 6, enumerated 2 June, lists on p. 2B as family #31/32:
Brown, John M., 20, b. Sep 1879, farmer; Rebecca, wife, 21, b. Oct 1878, married 0 years, mother of 0 children. Both born Ky Ky Ky.

The preceding household is headed by John’s parents.
