Census records suggest that 1854 or 1855 is more likely. He was recorded as 5 in 1850, 15 in 1860, and 26 in 1880 (I have not located him in the 1870 census.)

In 1930 he was recorded as Newton S. Ingram, age 76, widowed, b. Ky Ky Ky, as an inmate at the Butler County Home in Fairfield, Butler Co., Ohio.

Ingram, 523 Elm, Cin O, burial in Hillsboro, Ky.

1900 census of Hamilton Co., Ohio, Cincinnati ward 18, enumerated 3 June, lists on p. 2A as family #14/48, at 226 Fifth St:
Ingram, Julia, 45, b. Jan 1855, married 25 years, mother of 2 children, 2 living; Walter, son, 24, b. Mar 1876, cigar maker; Arthur F., son, 18, b. July 1881, shoe finisher. All born Ky Ky Ky.

Although Julia reports herself as married, she must have already been divorced, since Newton had already remarried.

1910 census of Hamilton Co., Ohio, Cincinnati ward 18, enumerated 15 April, lists on p. 3A as family #34/64, at 508 Plum St:
Ingram, Julia A., 55, divorced, mother of 2 children, 2 living; Walter R., son, 34, cigar maker, single. Both born Ky Ky Ky.
