Frances never married. Her obituary in the Bath County News-Outlook of 22 Jan 2009 reported:
“Frances Jean Johnson, 84, of Owingsville, passed away Jan. 7, 2009 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
Born on June 2, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Christopher and Lena Pearl Johnson.
Ms. Johnson was a former librarian for 26 years for Bath County Memorial Library and a member of the Polksville Church of God.
She is survived by two brothers, Harold Johnson and Pasquin Johnson of Salt Lick; one sister, Phyllis Ann Clements of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Douglas Johnson, James R. Johnson and Christopher Johnson, Jr.; and one sister, Margaret Priest.
Funeral services were conducted Jan. 10 at Richardson Funeral Home with Rev. Guy McKenzie officiating. Burial was in Jones Cemetery.
Donations are suggested to Bath County Memorial Library, 24 West Main St., Owingsville, KY 40360 or Jones Cemetery Association, 11295 E. Hwy 60, Salt Lick, KY 40371.”
