The Kentucky death index lists Butler Yarber, age 84, died 25 Dec 1960 in Bath Co., residence same.
Notes for Mary Peach Pergram
Her obituary in the Owingsville Outlook reported: “Mrs. Peachie Pergrem Yarber, 68, wife of Butler Yarber, died at her home at Olympia last Friday afteroon, May 2, after a seven weeks illness. Mrs. Yarber was a daughter of the late Frank and Hannah Stull Pergrem, and came of a pioneer Bath County family. She was married to Butler Yarber July 29, 1897, and had been a citizen of this county all her life.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Arnold Copher; two sons, Hobart Yarber, this county, and C. A. Yarber, Ashland; a sister, Mrs. Mertie Griggs, and a brother, J. Cleveland Pergrem, Olympia.

The body was removed from the Shrout, Piper & Shrout funeral home here Saturday afternoon to the residence and funeral services were held at the Olympia Christian Church Sunday afternoon, May 4, conducted by the Rev. George C. Frey and the Rev. J. W. Jordon. Burial was in Old Fields Cemetery.

Pall bearers were: Horton, Wallace and Brooks Becraft, Miller and Rollie Griggs and Woodrow Pergrem; flower girls were: Mrs. Gladys Turner, Mrs. Edna Shultz, Irene Wright, Mary Frances Swarts, Eunice Hart, Dorothy Shultz, Margie Shultz, Patricia McGlothen, Phyllis Hatton and Belle Thompson.”
