Notes for Lloyd R. Hayward
The SSDI lists Lloyd Hayward, born 10 Aug 1904, died May 1980, last residence Seattle, King Co., Washington.

Census
1930 census of King Co., Washington, Seattle block 5523, ED 17-189, enumerated 14 April, lists on p. 44B, line 53, at 3903 S. 8th AVe:
Hayward, Lloyd R., roomer, 25, married, age at first marriage 19, b. South Dakota / England / Iowa, mechanic at oxygen factory.

It is a private residence headed by Carl and Gladys Smith, but there are 20 unrelated roomers. Carl’s occupation is recorded as boilermaker at iron works, and Gladys’ as none, but I would imagine that they probably made more money renting rooms than from his job.
Notes for Lloyd R. & Dorotha E. (Family)
The 1937, 1938 and 1940 editions of the Seattle City Directory list Lloyd R. Hayward at 4203 W. Hill, Apt A, repairman for ARS Co., with wife Dorotha E. Hayward.

In 1941, 1942, 1943 and 1954, 1955, 1949, 1959 and 1960 Lloyd and Dorotha are listed at 728 47th Ave. SW. In 1956 they are listed at 1728 47th Ave. SW, which is the same address Lloyd is at in the 1940 census. (Not all years of the city directories are indexed.) It seems unlikely that they would maintain two addresses exactly 1000 numbers apart, so one of them may be a mistake.
Census
1940 census of King Co., Washington, Seattle, ED 40-241, lists as household #70, at 1728 47th Ave SW:
Hayward, Lloyd R., 35, b. S.D., married, living at same place in 1935, repairer for welding equipment; Dorotha E., wife, 32, b. Washington, statistical clerk for telephone co.

The entry for Lloyd is at line x on p. 3B, dated April 6, and the entry for Dorotha is at line 3 on p. 61A, undated, marked as “cont.” The whole of p. 61 seems to be continuation lines for other families in the district, perhaps due to second visits.
