The Kentucky death index lists Goldie A. Whitt, age 75, died 5 Nov 1987 in Rowan Co., residence same.

I cannot find her in the Kentucky birth index, not even by looking at all births in the whole state on 20 Nov 1911. I suspect she may really have been born in Nov 1910, before birth registration began.

Her obituary in the Morehead News reported:

“Goldie Adkins Whitt, 75, of 317 Heritage Place, Morehead, died of a heart attack Thursday, Nov. 5, at St. Claire Medical Center.

Born in Elliott County, she was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Lula Stegall Adkins and the widow of Edward Whitt, who died in 1971.

Mrs. Whitt was a member of the Farmers Christian Church and belonged to the Rebekah Lodge.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Whitt, Clearfield, and Minton Whitt, Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Nancye Whitt, Columbus, Ohio; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Sevicers were conducted Sunday, Nov. 8, at Farmers Christian Church by the Rev. Thomas Dale. Burial was in the Brown Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jerry Stamper, Ancil Stamper, Harold Stamper, Richard Stamper, Minton Stamper, John Stamper and Roger Whitt.”
