His WW II draft registration card, filed 25 April 1942, records Otis William Ingle, age 47, residence Hardin, Calhoun Co., Illinois, born 18 Feb 1895 in Calhoun, Illinois, occupation self-employed carpenter and builder, contact Mrs. Adaline Ingle, Hardin, Illinois.

The SSDI lists Otis Ingle, born 18 Feb 1895, died June 1969, last residence Hardin, Calhoun Co., Illinois.

His gravestone has a military plaque identifying him as “PFC CO C 14 AMMO TN WORLD WAR I”.

His memorial at FindaGrave.com says:

“The son of William M. Ingle and Emma Dorworth, Otis served in the United States military during World War I. He was a private first class when he received his discharge from the service.

Otis was married to Adaline Lorsbach. He was a member of the American Legion.

At the time of his death, Otis was 75 years, 3 months and 22 days old. He was survived by his wife, Adaline, who passed away in 1985.

“The oldest child of Adolph Herman Lorsbach and Sarah Amelia Jones, Adaline was born in Lincoln Valley, near Hardin, Calhoun County, Illinois.

Adaline married Andrew H. Kinder in June 1922.

Adaline's second husband was Otis William Ingle. They married on 25 Feb 1941.

Adaline was very involved with the American Legion Auxiliary.

At the time of her death, Adaline was 82 years, 1 month and 19 days old. She was buried next to her second husband, Otis, who passed away in 1969.

All born in Illinois. Adeline and Otis are recorded as living in Calhoun Co., Illinois in 1935, the two boys as living in Pike Co., Illinois. If Adaline was not living in the same county as her two boys, who would have been 12 and 11 at the time, it may indicate that she and her first husband Andrew Kinder divorced.
