Notes for Loren Nicholas Lobsiger
His obituary in the Bluffton News-Banner of 1 June 2005, as copied to FindaGrave.com, reported:

“A member of Wells County Council for 14 years from 1977 to 1991, founder of Loren's Garage and Body Shop in 1951 and longtime operator of that business, and a founding member of Hope Missionary Church, for which he was exceptionally active in mission work, Loren Nicholas Lobsiger, 92, of Bluffton, died at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Lobsiger's public service also included being a member of the Lancaster Township Advisory Board. He additionally was an active member through the years of the Bluffton Rotary Club and, in his church mission work, he went on mission trips to Haiti, Brazil and India.

His marriage was on April 21, 1934, in LaGrange, to Lillie Ann Powers, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Dennis R., Floyd A. and Michael D. Lobsiger, all three of Bluffton; one brother, Kelly Wells of LaGrange; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Herman and Ernest Lobsiger, and by a great-great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Suzette Pyle.

(I am not attaching Loren’s wife or children because I have no relationship to either of Loren’s parents, just to his stepmother Olive Wells. I am including him to hold this obituary, which gives evidence that his stepbrother Kelly Wells, who would be 90 at the time, was living in LaGrange in May 2005, and that his half-brother Ernest predeceased him.)
