The reported birthdate for Vincent is off by 2 years; his parents were not married until 1855, and he was reported as age 4 in the 1860 census. Mary’s age is also off by at least two years, more likely three if her age was reported accurately in the 1850 census (age 2, with a younger sister Nancy age 11 months, i.e., born about May or June 1849.) She was also reported as age 12 in the 1860 census.
