“Belford M. Frisby, Jr., 87, of Muskogee, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Muskogee Regional Medical Center. He was born April 7, 1923 in Muskogee to Belford Morton Frisby, Sr. and Melvina (Botts) Frisby. "Frisby" lived his entire life in the Muskogee area where he graduated from Muskogee Central High School with the class of 1941. During World War II, he served from 1942 to 1945 in the Army Air Corps. He was overseas for 13 months in New Guinea. Later, he could give many details of the war. At 10:00 p.m. on March 12, 1943, Frisby married the love of his life, Lillian Peterman, at Buckley Air Field after he had finished his class. He was employed as a postal carrier in the Muskogee area for twenty-two years. Frisby was faithful in his service to the Lord and volunteered to work in many different capacities at the church. He was a member of the Muskogee Civitan Club and a man of many interests. He was a pilot and loved flying, gardening, and his lawn work was a joy for him. Frisby was first a family man and all else was secondary. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lillian Frisby; son, Ned Ross Frisby and six brothers and three sisters. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Allen Simmons of Muskogee and Mollie and Stanley Hall of Owasso; grandchildren, Nikki and Tommy Schiller, Andy and Becky Simmons, Alesa and Travis O'Neal, Melissa Hall and Jefferson Hall and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2010 at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Wayne Schuett officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Frisby's grandchildren: Andy Simmons, Melissa Hall, Jacob Schiller, Jefferson Hall, Wyatt O'Neal, Zachary Schiller, Blake Simmons, Ty O'Neal and Skylar Simmons. Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Foster-Petering Funeral Home.”

“Lillian Mae Frisby, 87, of Muskogee, died Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at York Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Muskogee on November 30, 1922 to Elmer W. Peterman and Verna Louise (Mehs) Peterman. Lillian graduated from Northeast High School in Oklahoma City with the class of 1940. Later, she returned to Muskogee and married the love of her life, Belford M. Frisby, Jr. on March 12, 1943. They made Muskogee their home and shared many interests. Lillian loved homemaking, cooking and sewing for her family. She especially enjoyed weeding the flower beds and gardening with "Frisby." Lillian was a faithful and active member of First Lutheran Church. Attending worship together as a family was very important to her. Although homemaking was her first priority, Lillian worked at the local Western Union and later served at Muskogee High School as a Library Aid. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ned Ross Frisby and one brother, Elmer W. Peterman. She is survived by her husband, Belford M. Frisby, Jr.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Allen Simmons of Muskogee and Mollie and Stanley Hall of Owasso; grandchildren, Nikki & Tommy Schiller, Andy and Becky Simmons, Alesa and Travis O'Neal, Melissa Hall and Jefferson Hall; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 16, 2010, at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Wayne Schuett officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jefferson Hall, Melissa Hall, Wyatt O'Neal, Jacob Schiller, Zachary Schiller, Andrew Simmons and A.C. Lorenz.”
