Notes for John Christian & Cynthia Jane (Family)
This family is in my database only to document that their son James A. Mundy is not the same person as the James Albert Munday who married Mary Catherine Otis, since they are easily confused. See his notes for further discussion.
Census
1860 census of Amherst Co., Virginia, enumerated 14 Oct, lists on p. 134:
Family #992/990:
Jno C. Mundy, 30, Physician; Cynthia, 27.
Family #993/991:
Jas A., 2; Narcissa E., 1; Jas A. Mundy, 24, Minister of Gospel Bapt; Cornelius, 21. All born in Va.

It appears to me that this was most likely a single household, containing three adult brothers, two single and one married, with the children belonging to John and Cynthia. (Note that the surname is not repeated until it hits the adult James.) If it was two separate households, then the second household number should have been attached to the Rev. James Mundy, not to his toddler namesake.
