Her obituary in the Portsmouth Times of Thu, July 31, 1952 reported:

“OLIVE HILL - Funeral services for Mrs. Ollie Flannery, 79, widow of Houston Flannery, were held at her home in Olive Hill, with Rev. C. C. Tanner officiating and burial in Flannery Cemetery.

Mrs. Flannery’s death followed several years’ illness. She was born in Elliott County, a daughter of S. L. and Emily Baumgartner Porter.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Edna Mundy, Olive Hill, Mrs. Glenna Gearhart, Grayson, Mrs. Doan Otis, Salt Lick, and Miss Beulah Flannery at home; three sons, W. S. Flannery, Man, W. Va.; C. H. and E. V. Flannery, Logan, W.Va., two brothers, Charles and French Porter, Wisconsin, and five sisters, Mrs. Pearl Fouch and Mrs. Flora Jacob, Kokomo, Ind., Mrs. Olive Evans, Sandy Hook, Mrs. Jervil Shanks and Mrs. Goldie Jones, Wisconsin.”

Flanery, Houston W., 54, farmer; Mollie, wife, 46; Elmer, son, 18; Bulah, dau, 14; Beckham, son, 12; Clyde, son, 10. All listed as born Ky Ky Ky, although that conflicts with other records that Houston and Mollie’s parents were born in Virginia.
