His obituary in the Owingsville Outlook reported:

“Charley T. Royse Claimed By Death

Charley Thurman Royse, 60, died unexpectedly at his home at Wyoming at 7:30 Monday evening after suffering a heart attack.

A native of Bath County, Mr. Royse had spent the greater part of his life in the Wyoming community where he farmed. He was a member of the Wyoming Christian Church.

Surviving him are three brothers, Sam and John Royse, both of Route 1, Owingsville, and Robert Royse, Marion, Indiana; one sister, Mrs. Omer McClain, Grange City.

Funeral services were held at the Keal Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday by the Rev. George Martin with burial in the Owingsville cemetery. Pallbearers were James, J. R., and Earl Whitton, Hiram, Carl and Clay Royse.
