Initials are from the death certificate of Cloma’s father, for which he was the informant. I cannot find a good match in any census. It is probable that he and Cloma did not marry until after 1940, perhaps as a second marriage for both of them.

The Ohio death index lists Cloma Self, age 90, born 3 Apr 1909 in Kentucky, died 25 Nov 1999 in Fairborn, Greene Co., Ohio, widowed, father’s surname Ison, mother’s maiden name Gilliam.
