Census
1910 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Pine Grove precinct, enumerated 19 May, lists on p. 19A as family #333/336:
Parson, George, 30, farmer; Delia, wife, 21, first marriage for both, married 6 years, mother of 1 child, 1 living; Bide, son, 4. Porter, Albert, cousin, 18, farm laborer; Lizzie, cousin, 9; Willie, cousin, 7. All born Ky Ky Ky.

The Porters are children of James Porter and Celia A. Parsons (sister of Ferdinand.) The preceding household is headed by George’s brother Alfred, listed as Alford Parson age 24 with wife Mary (nee Hamilton).

1920 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Pine Grove precinct, enumerated 2 Feb, lists on p. 10B as family #179/182:
Parsons, George W., 39, b. Ky Va Ky, farm laborer; Delie, wife, 29, b. Ky Ky Ky; Lee B., son, 13, b. Ky Ky Ky. Clement, Ambrus, head, 59, widowed, b. Ky U.S. Ky, carpenter.

Strictly speaking, either Ambrus Clement should have been given his own family number while sharing the dwelling number, or else he should have been listed as a boarder instead of head.

The next household is headed by Delie’s brother Jess Coldiron, and the one after that by their parents.

1930 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Pine Grove precinct, enumerated 2 April, lists on p. 15A as family #14, on Branch Rd:
Parson, George, 50, age at first marriage 23, b. Ky Va Va, farmer; Delia, wife, 41, age at first marriage 14, b. Ky Ky Ky; Lee B., son, 23, b. Ky Ky Ky, single, farm laborer.

Lee was probably really divorced or separated. His month old son Lee Junior Parsons was listed in Lewis Co. with his mother Ellen Butler. Ellen was also listed as single, though, and as a Butler, so it is possible that they were not married, although it would be unusual for a child born out of wedlock in 1930 to be given his father's surname. Most likely they divorced before the child was even born, and went back to calling themselves single.

1940 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Pine Grove precinct, ED 103-10, enumerated 8 April, lists on p. 8B as family #56, on Dry Branch Road:
Parsons, George, 60, occupation blank; Delia, wife, 50; Lee, son, 33, married, auto-mechanic; Lee Junior, grandson, 10; Kennith, grandson, 7; George, grandson, 1. All born in Kentucky, George through Lee living in same house in 1935, Lee Junior and Kennith in same place but not same house.
