Notes for Lydia Jane “Jennie” Burch
Her obituary in the Rochester Daily Bulletin of Tuesday 11 Jan 1916 reported:
“Mrs. L. S. Gustine is Summoned - Mrs. Levi S. Gustine found release from suffering at one fifteen o’click this afternoon following a long illness. Altho it was known that she was seriously ill, nevertheless the news of her death will come as a shock to the many who knew and esteemed her.
Jennie L. Burch was born in New York state 61 years ago. She was married in Corinth, N.Y., 41 years ago, to Mr. Gustine. In 1883 they came to Rochester to take up their residence and this city has been their home ever since.
Mrs. Gustine is survived by her husband and five children. They are Mrs. E. E. Adams, Three Forks, Mont.; Harry and Lee, Three Forks, Mont.; Mrs. Clinton Morse, Minneapolis and Ed Gustine, Rochester. There are three brothers, Ben, Irving and Burt Burch, all of Olmsted county.
Funeral arrangements have not been made.”
