Notes for Oscar Miller Quesenberry
His middle initial was recorded as V in the 1900 census (it is very legible), so he was probably originally named Oscar Vivian Quesenberry (after his father’s brother and mother’s adoptive father), and then changed to Oscar Miller Quesenberry (after his paternal grandmother’s maiden name), perhaps because Vivian was going out of fashion as a male name. Note that the middle name Vivian was then given to Oscar’s sister Lura, born in Nov 1900.
