Census
1850 census of Orange Co., Virginia, enumerated 17 Aug, lists on p. 14 as family #102/103:
Elizabeth Robinson, 48; Richard, 34, farmer; James, 28, merchant; John, 20, farmer; Thomas, 18, clerk; Elizabeth, 12. All born in Virginia.

(Richard is probably a stepson of Elizabeth’s, although it is possible that one or both of their ages is wrong.)

Census
In 1870 they were boarding with James R. Mobley, whose youngest daughter they would later raise (I am unsure if she was officially adopted or just fostered):

1870 census of Freestone Co., Texas, Fairfield P.O., enumerated 22 Sep, lists on p. 19 as family #142:
Mobley, J.R., 46, merchant, b. Ala; Robt E., 20, clerk, b. Ala; Mary E., 14; J. R., 11 (male); Jake, 9; Carrie, 7; Ellen R., 4/12, b. Feb. Quesenbery, V., 38, doctor, b. Va; An B., 32, b. Tenn.

1880 census of Summers Co., West Virginia, Greenbrier district, town of Hinton, enumerated 11 June, lists on p. 31 as family #282/310:
Quisenberry, V., 47, physician & druggist, b. Va Va Va; A. B. 48, wife, b. Va Va Va; Sallie, 9, dau, b. Texas Alabama Alabama.

Judging by her parent birth places, Sallie is almost certainly not Vivian and Anna’s daughter, but instead the Sallie Mobley who married Vivian’s nephew George Oscar Quesenberry. Her death certificate says that she was born 27 June 1870 in Butler, Texas (which is in Freestone Co.), parents James Ray Mobley and Sarah Spivey Evans, both born in Alabama. This suggests that she may be the same child listed as Ellen R. Mobley age 4 months in the 1870 census, where Vivian and Anna were living with J. R. Mobley. The age is off by four months, but that is not unusual. Perhaps they decided to change her name to Sally after adopting her. (The other possiblity is that J.R.’s wife was still alive in 1870 even though she was not in the household, and that Sally was really born in June 1871.)
