His obituary in the Middletown Journal of Oct 16, 1975 reported:

“Thomas Roscoe Sexton, 95, of 1911 Henry Ave., died at 4:30am Wednesday at Middletown Hospital, where her had been a patient since Oct 8.

Mr. Sexton was born on Morgan County, Ky., and had been a resident of Middletown since 1943. He was a former employee of Shartle Brothers Machine Co. His wife Rhoda, died in 1967.

Surviving are five daughters, Miss Virgie Sexton, at home, Mrs. Inza Williams of Middletown, Mrs. Aretta Taggart of Trenton, Mrs. Jewel Pierce of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Mary Mays of Korea, Ky.; three sons, Luther and Arthur of Korea, Ky., and Wilmer of Middletown; a brother, John of Middletown; a sister, Mrs. Mary Wells of Middletown; 27 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11am Sunday at the Potter Funeral Home in West Liberty, Ky. Burial will be in the Bailey Cemetery at Korea, Ky.”

Her obituary in the Middletown Journal of Nov 26, 1967 reported:

“Mrs. Rhoda E. Sexton, 77, of 1911 Henry Ave., died at 1pm yesterday at Middletown Hospital, where she had been a patient since Jan 25.

Mrs. Sexton was born in Morgan County, Ky., and had been a resident of Middletown since 1943. She was a member of the local chapter of the War Mothers. A son, Army Sgt. Ernie Sexton, was killed in action in 1945 while serving in World War II.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas; five daughters, Mrs. Aretta Taggart of Trenton. Miss Vergie Sexton and Mrs. Inza Williams of Middletown, Mrs. Mary Mays of Korea, Ky., and Mrs. Jewel Pierce of Phoenix, Ariz., three sons, Arthur and Luther of Korea, Ky., and Wilmer of Middletown; a brother, Ed Craft of Kellacey, Ky.; 26 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home tomorrow from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm. Burial will be in Bailey Cemetery in Korea, Ky.”
