His obituary in the Middletown Journal of Mar 8, 1964 reported:

“FRANKLIN - Funeral services for Frank Sexton Sr., 86, of 1137 Thirkfield Ave., Franklin's first traffic victim since September 1961, will be held at 10:30am Wednesday at the Eaton Funeral Home. The Rev. H.S. Gessner will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery.

Mr. Sexton, a retired employee of the Chency Pulp & Paper Co., died of multiple injuries Friday night after he walked into the path of an auto on S. Main Street, just inside the corporation limits.

He is survived by four sons, Cody of Titusville, Fla., James of Madison County, Ky., Frank of Phoenix, Ariz., and David, address unknown; 10 daughters, Mrs. Brunette Moss, of Germantown, Mrs. Ora Cook, Mrs, Mildred Fry, Mrs. Mary Johnson, Mrs. Beulah Glenn, Mrs. Rene Glenn, all of Franklin, Mrs. Naomi Miller of Richmond, Ind., Mrs. Beatrice Powell and Mrs. Ruby Metcalf, both of Carlisle, and Mrs. Carrie Goins of Greensboro, N.C.; two brothers, Thomas and John, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Wells, all of Middletown.

Friends may call at the Eaton Funeral Home from 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm Tuesday.”

“FRANKLIN - Mrs. Carrie Sexton, 57, of 1137 Thirkield Ave., was found dead in a chair at her home at 4pm Thursday. Death apparently was caused by a heart attack.

Surviving are her husband, Frank; three sons, Henry Rowe, Cecil and Frank Sexton, Jr.; eight daughters, Miss Alberta Rowe, Mrs. Mildred Fry, Mrs. Beatrice Powell, Miss Ruby Sexton, Mrs. Mary Johnson, Mrs. Beulah Glenn, Miss. Carrie Belle Sexton and Mrs. Rena Glenn, all of Franklin; and two brothers, Tipp Allen of Franklin and Levi Allen of Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Monday at the First Baptist Church. The Rev. H. S. Gessner will officiate and burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the residence after 2pm Saturday. The Robert Eaton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.”
