1910 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Morehead precinct, enumerated 22 April, lists on pp. 5B-6A as family #93/95:
Earls, John, 42, second marriage, married 2 years, laborer at lumber mill; Lula B., wife, 29, married 1 year, mother of 1 child; Roy W., son, 19, single; Arlie H., son, 11/12. George W., son, 10. Blair, John, nephew, 19, farmer; Cordie May, niece, 20, first marriage for both, married 1 year, 0 children. All born Ky Ky Ky.
The “number of living children” column is blank for Lula, even though Arlie is her son. The columns were apparently shifted for her, so that it was intended to say that she was married 2 years, mother of 1 child, 1 living.
Lula B. Earls is the sister of Cordie May Blair - they are both daughters of Allen Craft and Rachel Oliver. So the relationship should be brother and sister in law, not nephew and niece.
1920 census of Butler Co., Ohio, Middletown ward 2, enumerated 5 Jan, lists on p. 1B as family #20/23, at 546 Young St:
Blair, John, 28, farmer; Corda, wife, 30; Ethel, dau, 9; Bethel, dau, 5; Icae, dau, 2 8/12. Blankenship, Bennie Allen, nephew, 23, married, laborer at tobacco factory; Gertrude, niece, 18, married, machine operator at tobacco factory. All born Ky Ky Ky.
Bennie is the son of Cordie’s sister Samantha and her first husband Leander Blankenship. He is also the stepson of John’s brother James, whom Samantha married second. Gertrude is Bennie’s wife.
