(The April date may be a misreading by the county clerk of the midwife or doctor’s handwriting, because both the 1900 census and his death certificate record his birth month as August.)
His death certificate records Bud Eldridge, age 82 years 4 months 26 days, born 30 Aug 1855 in Elliott Co., Ky, died 26 Jan 1938 in Yocum, Morgan Co., Ky, widowed, occupation farming, father Joshua Eldridge, mother’s maiden name Fanny Elliott, both born in Virginia, cause of death paralysis had no doctor, had been insane for years, informant John Eldridge, Yocum, Ky, burial in Yocum.

I cannot find her in the 1860 or 1870 censuses, nor in the Kentucky birth records. This probably indicates that she went by some other given name as a child.
