He was a military veteran beginning his service during World War II in the Navy Armed Guard. In 1949, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving both in the Korean War and Vietnam. He served with honor and distinction, and was decorated three times for meritorious service. Mr. Quesenberry retired from the Air Force in 1968 with the rank of Master Sargeant.

In 1970, he joined the Tennessee Credit Union League, and was financial consultant to credit unions for 20 years. During this time, Mr. Quesenberry was a member of the Credit Union Executives Society, The Credit Union Founders Club and past President of the Kawanis Club in Paris, TN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested directed to Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital or RIFA Soup Kitchen.”

(Kleyon’s brother Maurice actually died one day after he did, rather than preceding him in death, but the format for obituaries apparently doesn’t have a category for relatives who died after the subject of the obituary did but before the funeral.)
