His obituary in the Ashland Independent reported:

“Arville Lee Donahue, age 92, of Donahue Road, Ashland, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012, in King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.

He was born Oct. 13, 1919, in Morgan County, and was the son of the late Bert and Cora Byron Donahue. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Esther Dalene Peyton Donahue, who passed away Nov. 24, 2007; one daughter, Sandra Lee Donahue; one daughter-in-law, Dianna Donahue; one son-in-law, Ballard Belcher; one brother, Crystal Donahue; and four sisters, Lorene McKinney, Ethel Black, Zealliea Behnke and Gladys LeMaster.

Mr. Donahue is survived by three sons, Michael Wayne (Kathie) Donahue of New Port Richey, Fla., Nathanael O’Dell “Buz” Donahue of Ashland, and Timothy Keith Donahue of Ashland; two daughters, Sheila Marie Belcher of Flatwoods, and Kathy Ann (Gary) Russell of Ashland; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Donahue was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and retired from AK Steel. A lifelong Christian, he was a member of 21st Street Tabernacle in Ashland and for many years taught various Sunday school classes. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel in Morehead with Brother Carl Eldridge and the Rev. Cecil Ison officiating. Full military honors will be presented at the funeral home by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.

Pallbearers will be Schyler Elkins, James Robertson, Michael Ratulowski, Shaun Stephens, Jaron Bowen, Mickey Brown and Jesse Thacker.”
