“James Roy Cox of West Liberty, KY, passed away Monday, September 8, 2008 at Morgan County ARH, West Liberty, KY, at the age of 66 years, 11 months, and 16 days. He was born on Tuesday, September 23, 1941 at Pomp, KY, son of Eva Lillian Adkins Cox and the late Walter Scott Cox. He was united in marriage to Patricia DeHart. To this union was born two children, Kimberly RenĂ© and Jeremy James. He was a retired farmer and truck driver.

In addition to his father, James Roy was preceded in death by an uncle, Randolph Cox; his grandparents, Russell and Telia Cox and Roy and Prudie Adkins; and nephew, Anthony Jared Harper.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; two children, Kimberly Rene' and Brian Cook of Centerville, OH and Jeremy Cox and fiancé Brittany Terry of West Liberty; his mother, Eva Cox of West Liberty; two grandchildren, Patrick Neal Miller and Chelsea Renee Cook; one sister, Pam and Anthony Harper of West Liberty; one niece, Heather Harper; two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Winston and Shirley Gullett of Stacy Fork and Robert and Faye Hutchinson of West Liberty; and a special brother-in-law, Darrell DeHart of West Liberty.

Funeral service 12:00 p.m., Thursday, September 11, 2008, at the Potter Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Dagnan and Rev. Eugene Haney officiating. Burial in the Henry and Perry Cemetery, West Liberty, KY. Visitation 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at the Potter Funeral Home.

Pallbearers: Henry B. Collins, Robert Hutchinson, Kiser Elam, Jackie Brown, Winston Gullett, Anthony Harper, Lonnie Gibson, and Herky Allen.”
