The Württemberg, Germany emigration index lists Matthaes Haller, born 19 Nov 1841 in Aldingen, applied in 1869 from Spaichingen district to emigrate to North America.

His death certificate records Matthias Haller, age 85 years 7 months 1 day, born 19 Nov 1842 in Germany, died 20 June 1928 in West Middletown, Madison township, Butler Co., Ohio, farmer, married, husband of Agnes Haller, father Jacob Haller, mother’s maiden name blank, both born in Germany, cause of death carcinoma of liver, informant Mrs. Agnes Haller, West Middletown, Ohio, burial in Luthern Cemetery.

His gravestone spells his given name as Mathias.

Be careful not to confuse him with Matthias Haller born 8 April 1839, died 10 Feb 1920 in Middletown, Ohio, son of John Haller, who married Salomina Jacobs, and is buried in Middletown Pioneer Cemetery.
