Her obituary in the Morehead News reported:

“Elizabeth Adkins Hanes Hornback, 79, of 195 Leasure Lane, Clearfield, died Sunday, July 11 at St. Claire Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 1, 1913 in Elliott County to the late Charlie and Margaret Cox Adkins. Preceding her in death was her first husband, Edgar Hanes in 1959; her second husband, Clifton Hornback in 1986; a son, Bobby Hanes; and one daughter, Ivory Pearl Hanes.

Mrs. Hornback was a member of the End-Time Harvest Tabernacle in Clearfield.

Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Hanes of Mansfield, Ohio, Denvil Hanes of Morehead, and Billy Hanes of Salem, Va.; five daughters, Margie Combs of Dayton, Ohio, Carolyn Marie Harris of Russel, Mary Burton, Nelma Riley, and Maritta Joyce Pennington, all of Morehead; one brother, Clayton Adkins of Ft. Myers, Fla.; one sister, Ivory Mae Butler of Morehead; 25 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and two great-great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 14 at the Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Tracy Fannin officiating. Burial will follow in the Clearfield Cemetery. Visitation is anytime at the Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.”
