His obituary in the Ocala Star Banner reported:
“ANTHONY - Gus Workman, 66, a retired insurance adjuster, died Saturday, June 3, 2006, at Munroe Regional Medical Center.
A native of Dry Creek, Ky., he moved here from Henderson, Ky., in 1973. Mr. Workman was a member of Unity Baptist Church and Campers On Mission. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Workman, Anthony; daughters, Sherri Spanier, Ocala, Karen Smith, Lexington, Tenn., and Belinda Workman, Tampa; brother, Ronald Workman, Morehead, Ky.; sisters, Charlotte Hall, Morehead, and Sandy Planck and Debbie Fultz, both of Lexington, Ky.; and two grandchildren.”
