The May 1951 issue of McCall's magazine introduced Betsy McCall, who was presented as five going on six. The first artist was Kay Morrissey.

This site presents high-quality images from Betsy's first ten years as a paper doll. For 150 dpi versions, follow the links at the bottom of each year's overview page. Very large 300 dpi versions can be downloaded from here.

The scans have been brightened and cleaned up in Photoshop to remove age damage. For May and June 1951, I've posted before and after versions of the high-res versions so that you can compare them.
