Hazel Parks' family group for Joseph on p. 100 of Early Clark County Families, Vol. V, says that Joseph was b. 1831 and d. 8 Jan 1888. Don't know her source for these dates. My source for Joseph's birthdate is the 1880 census, and for the death date, the Dore M. Frantz burial records. I don't know whether the date given in the Dore M. Frantz manuscript is from an inscription on Joseph's stone in Vale Cemetery, or whether it is an annotation by Mr. Frantz.

According to Dore M. Frantz's notes, Sarah Jane had a brother named Obediah, and a sister in Indiana.

According to "History of Clark County", Joseph and Sarah were the parents of six children. (I should check the 1900 census of Springfield township, Clark Co. to see if there was a child born after 1880. There is also room for a possible child who died young, perhaps between Lewis and Anne.)
