(The family immediately above is headed by his father Christian Ohmert, with a young couple and two children under 5.)
1850 census of Pleasant twp, Wabash County, Indiana, taken in August, lists this family (#152) as:
Adam Ohmart 47 Farmer, Christina 43, Samuel 19, Jacob 18, Levi 15, Eve 13, Joseph 11, Sarah 6, Anna 5, Julia 3; Adam and Christina born in VA, Samuel through Joseph born in Ohio, Sarah through Julia born in IN.
1870 census of Pleasant twp, Wabash Co., IN, p. 28, enumerated 9 Aug, lists this family (#207) as:
Ohmart, Adam, 66, farmer; Christenia, 62; Julia, 23; Israel, 19; Henry, 17; Ellen, 10. The parents of Ellen are probably Adam's son Levi, who was living alone in the 1870 census, and his first wife Rebecca. Rebecca died in 1861, and Levi's second wife Sarah died in Jan 1870. It is doubtful that Christina would have had a child at 52.
