According to Dore M. Frantz's documents, Joel's gravestone lists his birthdate as 5 Jan 1818. In Vol. II of Early Clark County Families, p. 47, Jess W. Monteith lists Joel's birthdate as 3 Jan 1817. Page 50 of Lester Binnie's Cemetery Records of Paw Paw and Pleasant Townships, Wabash County, Indiana gives his tombstone inscription as simply 1817-1910. I have chosen the date of 1818 primarily because it is consistent with the recorded marriage date of his parents, and with his being born in Ohio (in 1817, his parents were still in Virginia.)

1880 census of Wabash Co., Indiana, Pleasant twp, enumerated 16 June, lists on p. 26 as family #261:
Ohmert, Joel, 62, b. Oh Va Va, farmer; Phoebe, 61, b. Oh Va Va.

1900 census of Chester twp, Wabash Co., Indiana lists this family as:
Ohmart, Joel, b. Jan 1817, 83; Phoebe, b. Apr 1819, 81; married 60 years, 1 child (still living), both born in Ohio, all of their parents born in VA.

In Vol. II of Early Clark County Families, p. 47, Jess W. Monteith lists Phoebe's birthdate as 11 Apr 1816. This is, however, inconsistent with census records and her tombstone (see Notes for her husband, Joel Ohmart.)

Listed on page 74 of the Michael Zug record. He gives her birthdate as 19 Apr 1819.
