The Heeter Family Letters, p. 76, includes a letter which Ezra wrote on March 19, 1955, addressed "Dear brother", probably to Ira. It includes the lines "I am going to move to my fatherinlaw three miles north of germintown and am going to farm the plase for the ould man for a while that is what a feler gets for maring an ould mans youngest daughter I got mared on the sixth of march to Susannah Peters I was lucky in geting mared yet befour I was a bachler but that time would not have bin very long eney more I was on the day I was mared twenty seven years Eleven month and six days ould".
