1910 census of Clark Co., Ohio, Bethel twp, lists Jesse G. Brown, age 21, farm hand, with the family of Elmer L. Leffel, son of Henry Leffel and Sarah Jane Grisso. No relationship is recorded, but Jesse and Elmer were half first cousins - John Grisso was grandfather to both of them, but Elmer’s mother Sarah Jane was a daughter of John’s first wife Lydia Baker, and Jesse’s mother Amanda was a daughter of John’s second wife Sally Frantz.
