The Virginia IGI lists the birth of Mary Grisso to Hawkins Grisso and Hannah Barnhart, 25 Mar 1848 in Montgomery County, from batch 5001686, sheet 4.

Marvin Nelson's Grisso Family Album says that Mary Grisso married Charles Snow in 1875 in Montgomery Co., VA. However, the Barnhart Family Record, p. 50, says Mary "was married at Lawrence, Douglas Co., Kan. to Louis Wilford Snow in 1876. He proved to be an unfaithful husband and father. In the year 1890 he deserted his wife and children and has never been heard of since. By occupation he was a plasterer and up to the time of his disappearance resided at Willow Springs, Douglas Co., Kan."
