Most data on this family from entry on page 173, Vol. 2, Early Clark County Families, submitted by Jack W. Walker, 3116 W. Nebraska St., Tucson, AZ 85746. He lists Michael Minnick as coming to Clark Co. about 1809.

Possible surname of Garber, possibly even the same person as Magdalena (Garver) (Minnich) Frantz. Some sources list Michael Minnick's wife as being Magdalena, the daughter of John Garber and Barbara Zook. But it is definite from the will of Elder John Garber that his daughter Magdalene was married to Peter Minnich, Sr. in 1813. I have not seen any primary sources giving a name for Michael Minnich's wife, and it seems more likely to me that someone confused him with Peter Minnich than that both of them married women named Magdalena Garber.
