According to Lester Binnie's Early Brethren Families of the Eel River District, Union was reared by a Blocher family after his mother died, probably his uncle Matthias or his uncle Andrew. Lived on a farm in Jackson Township. Was the father of Mrs. Arthur Arthur (first name unknown), who was living in North Manchester in 1973.
