In Montgomery Co., Daniel was known as Daniel Cripe Jr. to distinguish him from his father, but after he moved to Wabash Co., Indiana, in 1840, he was known as Daniel Cripe Sr., and his son was referred to as Daniel Cripe Jr.
Buried in the Old Cripe Cemetery in Pleasant twp, his stone says Daniel Cripe died May 22, 1865, age 79 yrs 10 mos 10 days.
