Franklin Co., KY marriage records list marriage of Robert Hatton and Polly Zook on 14 May 1808, and marriage of Aaron Miller and Polly Zook on 7 May 1810. (From a published index; I am not sure if this is a bond or a marriage return.) Since David Zook's widow Polly is still listed as Polly Zook in the 1820 census, and there were no other Zook families in Kentucky at this time, both of these Pollys must be David's daughter. (Harry D. Zook, in his family group for David Zook, lists them both as such.) But it is unusual for a remarried woman to be listed in a marriage record by her maiden name. Also, Robert Hatton appears in the 1810 census of Franklin Co., as a single householder (1 m 26-45). It thus seems probable that the marriage to Robert Hatton either ended in a very early divorce, or, perhaps more likely in that era, that the "marriage record" is only for a bond issued for a marriage which did not occur.

There is also a Franklin Co. marriage record in 1825 for Polly Hatton and Jonathan Swinger. If the Polly Zook who married Arthur Miller is not the same as the one who married Robert Hatton, then Polly Hatton might be Polly Zook, widowed. Or she might be the daughter of Polly Zook and Robert Hatton. I should check the 1830 and 1840 censuses to see what age Jonathan Swinger’s wife is.
