Census
1820 census of Franklin Co., Ky, lists on p. 122: Jacob Zook, 1 m 26-45, 1 f 26-45. (I am not sure I've got the numbers in the right categories. See Notes for Jacob's mother Polly.)
1830 census of Franklin Co., Ky, lists on p. 147: Jacob Zook, 1 m < 5, 2 m 5-9, 1 m 40-49, 1 f < 5, 1 f 20-29, 1 f 80-89. From other evidence, Jacob was about 33 in 1830, so his mark seems to have been placed in the wrong column. The older woman may be his mother Polly. If so, her mark is probably in the wrong column, too, as it is unlikely she was 10 years older than her husband, and having children in her mid-50's (Elizabeth Zook was born in 1804.) The columns on this census were clearly labelled and ruled, though.
