Notes for Daniel A. Heeter
Binnie's "Cemetery Records of Paw Paw & Pleasant Townships", p. 48, lists in the cemetery of the Old Order German Baptist Church in North Manchester, a joint stone for Daniel Heeter 1866-1929 and Mary Heeter 1868-1938, and adjacent stones for their children: Chester J. 1898-1918, age 20-11-14; Lydia F. 1899-1918, age 19-3-8; and infant daughter Jan 1886, infant daughter Feb 1887. (From death records, Lydia and Chester died one day apart.) Since the 1900 census said that Daniel & Mary had only been married 5 years, and there are definitely no children born in the period 1888-1895, I am assuming that Binnie misread the stones for the unnamed infants, and they should really be 1896 and 1897.
Wabash Co. Death records, bk. 1925-39, p. 38, lists Daniel Heeter, d. 1-8-1929, age 62. (From index cards only; I haven't checked the record)
There is no marriage record for Daniel and Mary Elizabeth in Wabash Co. Perhaps they married in Kosciusko Co.

1900 Census of Wabash Co., IN, lists in Pleasant twp, district 127, family #280:

Notes for Mary Elizabeth [Heeter]
Wabash Co. Death records, bk. 1925-39, p. 143, lists Mary Elizabeth Heeter, d. 8-21-38, age 69. (From index only; should check certificate to get her maiden name since I can't find the marriage record.)
