Christening p. 18A (see Notes for his father) as Johan Friederich s/o Theobald Gerst & his wife Magdalena Catharina. Confirmation in 1749 on page 86, listed as Johan Friederich Gerst born 1834 age 14 years 2 months.
Johan Friederich is not mentioned in his father's will, and has no known descendents, so he probably died young. He was probably the Friederich who arrived on the same ship and signed the oath of allegiance at the same time as Theobald Gerst, as he would have been 16 at the time, and we know he lived to at least 14. But that could have been Theobald's brother instead.
