Early Clark County Ohio Families, Vol. 5, p. 97, submission by Hazel Parks, lists Jacob Grisso born before 1814, in Botetourt Co., VA, and places him between George Jr. and Catherine. Marvin Nelson's well-researched Grisso Family Album lists him as born after 1812, in Ohio, and places him between Catherine and John. If both dates are correct, then that would put his birth in 1813, but at that time the family was in Ohio. Also the spacing between children would be very tight unless he was a twin of George Jr., and one would expect a fact that to be remembered and recounted in the county histories. Since there are many date errors in the Hazel Parks' submission, and there are four years between the births of Catherine and John, I am inclined to put more weight on Marvin Nelson's version.
