Notes for Lewis Emerson Kester
The family left for Wisconsin on December 16th, 1887, according to the Diary of William S. Kester. Lewis died of heart disease, and is buried near his daughter Lulu and son Harry.
Notes for Lorena Heeter
In 1925 after the death of her husband, Lorena moved back to North Manchester, Indiana, where her mother lived. Her brother Jacob and sisters were also from that area. In 1928 she moved to South Bend, Indiana. In 1932 she moved to Bakersfield, California, where she lived next door to her daughter Helen at 533 Stephans Drive. In 1938 she moved with Willard and Ross to Los Gatos, Santa Clara Co., California, but soon afterwards moved back to Bakersfield.
She died of cervical cancer.
